UniFEST Spring Series!

UniFEST is a contemporary festival celebrating diversity and inclusion for all. Held in downtown Silver Spring, this festival included art, music, fashion, and small business vendors. We had a great time meeting vendors and learning about local small businesses in the area.

Check out a few of the businesses we spoke to below:

Tight Fisted Fashion is a Baltimore based resale and consignment store. They have a curated selection of items to meet your needs.

Tiara Slater of Queen Designs is a Maryland based Graphic Designer. She sells bags, pillows, and prints all creatively designed to uplift black people and spread the message that “black is beautiful.”

Freres Branchiaux is a candle company founded by three brothers, Collin, Ryan, and Austin Gill. They started this business after they ran out of allowance money and their parents told them “get a job or start a business.” Freres Branchiaux now sells hand poured candles, room sprays and diffusers.

Skips & Flutters- is a shop curated for the modern woman from makers all over the country. This shop sells clothes, cards, mugs, keychains and accessories all dedicated to uplifting and empowering women.

Be sure to check out the next UniFest event for more vendors and small business owners. The next event will be on May 12 at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from 1- 6pm. Get tickets here. We hope to see you there!
