Local Virtual Events That Were Happening in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

As we all know that due to this coronavirus pandemic, many things are being missed by people. But amidst this pandemic, Washington DC is still here to entertain the people by their virtual events. There is a number of events taking place. As you practice social distance they have gathered some live virtual events and other fun stuff to do this weekend. You can also check out lots of on-demand virtual museum tours, community tours, TV and movie streaming ideas with a DC bent, music playlists influenced by the DC, Washington, DC Zoom meeting backgrounds, and much more.

From Monday to Thursday, many events are taking place. let’s take a look to see what they are about.

ON FRIDAY:

It doesn’t get any quainter when it comes to mystical communities than at Book Hill in Georgetown. The micro-neighborhood serves as the site of the French annual market, where Francophiles – yes, those in stripes and berets – take to the streets and buy, eat and play. Well, the French market is going virtual this year beginning May 1 and running a week’s course. Expect live shows, store sales, food specials, and deliveries, plus Book Hill shops hosting events. Best of all, the event this year will be of interest to Martha’s Table.

The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage performed free regular shows at 6 p.m., before remaining at home shook the country. For everybody to see and everything. Millennium Stage has kicked off its virtual companion more recently: Couch Concerts, held mainly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In this edition listen in as members of the National Symphony Orchestra play live on the hometown strings.

During the coronavirus, one of the big content producers is the International Spy Museum, which maintains an active virtual event list filled with live spy games, workshops, and happy hours. For $10 per household, the entire family can play the Covert Couch Challenge on Friday night. The game, which is aimed at families with children between the ages of 7 and 12, features a timer and high pressure, must-complete missions with coded messages, and spy gadget creations.

ON SATURDAY:

Get down Saturday morning with the whole family. The famous Facebook Live concerts of The Strathmore start with jazz pianist and crooner Mark G. The District’s biggest music festival is keeping jazz fans interested in its regular weekly concerts, including live streaming shows and some previously unseen events. This week, the award-winning Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana, whose famous 2019 album, Visions, presents her first work in a jazz quartet.

ON SUNDAY:

This weekend, the beloved Balkan restaurant Ambar Clarendon offers a virtual wine class, suitable for anyone from the ambitious sommelier to the casual wine drinker. Aleksandar Krsmanovic of the Balkan Wine Project joins Ferdinand Winery’s Matjaz Centric to taste and explore wines. Ambar Clarendon has collaborated with specialty wine stores in Washington, DC to provide discounts to the participants of about 50%or so.

Whether it’s being served brunch or feeding a sweet tooth fix, on Sunday there are plenty of ways to celebrate mum. The obvious choice is to start the day by picking up bagels from Call Your Mother or having delivered brunch from favorites like women-owned Centrolina or expanded choices from Medium Rare. If you are preparing a Mother’s Day feast, Zaytinya has a special menu for your queen.

now let’s talk about one virtual event that is about French Trivia Competition and the details are given below:

We’re collaborating with our friends from France this evening with a special Online Trivia Contest – specifically focused around France and French culture! While all questions will be in English, questions vary from French history to French Geography, French Celebrities (in America), and so on. You don’t have to be from France to join, or just an expert from France. Questions are aimed towards beginners to experts in their French Language.

Participants will meet at ZOOM, and teams among the participants will be formed. All questions will be moderated and regulated (so not only will the usage of smartphones and the internet be monitored but also regulated). After we divide teams and the teams select a captain, we’ll start rounds!

In the final round, the winning team will be awarded special prizes courtesy of the French American Chamber of Commerce.

The next one is virtual truth or dare party:

Stuck at home-but excited to get to know new people? We built a special virtual ice breaker to link up with new friends tonight!

PLAY TRUTH OR DARE WITH OTHERS.

We’ll also have a bit of fun as we get to know each other. We’ll go (and rotate) into breakout rooms in our curriculum and encourage a chance to Challenge each other for the “Reality,” or maybe ask someone to do a “DARE” around the house!

Now, don’t worry because we’re going to control so the “truths” requested are intended to be enjoyable, not private, or personal inappropriately. Additionally, any of the dares will also not be inappropriate.

We’ll randomly switch everyone around in the final part of the evening so you can meet people or even request more personal conversations based on people you know online. We can move you to another virtual room, on request.

A few minutes before the gathering, all chatroom links and invitations will be sent out (to ensure that registrants attend). They are sent to the email address you are using for the registration of the event.

Any unauthorized person or someone who behaves improperly during the chat room, or anyone who uses this as a place to advertise their own services or goods, will be deleted and blocked immediately.

A Recap from Yesterday’s Event:

So yesterday’s event was done on Facebook between Angela Davis and Nikki Giovanni. In this event, they talked about the beauty of black girls and women. First, they thanked all the audience who were watching their live video at that time. After that, they started talking about the beauty of black women and girls and the platform which gave them confidence.
