8 Ice Skating Places to Visit this Week in the DMV!

The holiday Christmas season has finally arrived and we are preparing for a unique celebration with our family and loves one’s this year due to the COVD19 restrictions! *aww man* yes, we know, it’s an unfortunate time but we have been managing to bear through the storm.

Life has a funny way of revealing itself at times, but always remember there’s a positive for every perceived negative situation. So, this is why we’ve taken the time to compile a list of amazing and wonderful 8 outdoor Ice Skating Rink to check out this week while you get your Christmas shopping list together.

One of the great things about living or having to visit the DC, Metropolitan area is having options to venture and find activities.

1)Pentagon Row Outdoor Ice Skating Rink:

The plaza at Pentagon Row underwent major renovations in 2013 to create an amazing experience for guests. The ice skating rink is 50% larger with an outdoor dual-sided stone fireplace for lounging during skating breaks. Pentagon Row’s 6,840 square foot ice rink is now the largest outdoor rink in Northern Virginia, and the second largest in the state.

2)Silver Spring Outdoor Ice Skating Rink:

The new outdoor  Silver Spring Ice Skating Rink is in downtown Silver Spring at Veterans’ Plaza, surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and plenty of parking. It is in a convenient location for the Washington DC Metro area. Parking is free after 8pm on weeknights and all day on weekends!

3)Rockville Ice Skating Rink:

The Rockville Town Square ice rink is the largest outdoor ice-skating rink between Baltimore and Washington DC. It is the largest in all of Montgomery measuring 7,200 square feet.

4) Ice & Lights at Cameron Run, Virginia:

Ice and Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run will return this year, featuring an ice rink, more than a dozen holiday light displays perfect for the family, and a romantic date night. There’s a few retail areas, food, music and more. The Ice and Lights Village is a short drive from Old Town. Masks are required in all areas of Ice & Lights except when eating or drinking in the concession areas.

5) Color Burst Ice Rink at Merriweather District,Columbia,MD:

The new Color Burst Ice Rink at Merriweather District is opening for the 2020 – 2021 season, n Columbia, Maryland with a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience for the entire family. The rink welcomes you with festive décor – the perfect place for date nights and family outings. There will be plenty of holiday celebrations and themed events throughout the season, as well as music, food trucks, and the nearby Symphony of Lights at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Skate up an appetite? Head over to a local restaurant for a great, safe indoor or grab-and-go meal. See you on the ice!

6)Ice Skating at the Four Season Baltimore:

The Four Seasons Baltimore plans to bring back its seasonal ice rink next month, city tourism officials said Tuesday. The 1,800-square-foot synthetic rink will temporarily take over the Harbor Terrace on the Harbor East hotel’s fifth floor.


7) Glen Burnie Outdoor Ice Rink:

Enjoy ice skating at the outdoor ice skating rink at the Glen Burnie Town Center. Free parking at the garage across the street. Listen to music while you skate with your friends and neighbors. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or dine at a nearby café. All Masks must be worn due to covid19 restrictions.


8)Outdoor Ice Skating, The Avenue at White Marsh:

The outdoor ice rink at The Avenue at White Marsh has opened for the winter season. This year, tickets must be purchased online
