Yoga helps to relax and rest both the body and the mind. Postures that allow us to stop the fast pace of life and connect, for a moment and in a place, with our bodies. Eternal listening is so complicated on many occasions. Although silence is essential to start the slowdown of our mind and body, it is true that in your first yoga classes and as you progress, music can be a great ally so as not to be distracted by ideas, tasks, and other obligations that can come to mind as you practice each pose. Using the right music will increase the beneficial effects of yoga and allow you to let yourself go towards what your body feels.
If you use music, you should keep in mind that its sounds will amplify the feeling of relaxation and comfort produced by the practice of asanas or postures. For example, in prenatal yoga or during simple breathing exercises, it is recognized that sound, which is a propagation of mechanical waves, improves the flow of body movements.

Every woman deserves all the specials in life and in light of International Women’s month, Bri Alexander Wellness the main host, and Blissful Body Yoga, as an invited guest are providing a wonderful Yoga experience. It is going to be a rare experience of Sound Healing, combined with Yoga.
Facilitators Bri and Dee will lead an all women’s sound healing and yoga session. During their individual session, they’ll highlight the women in their community through an enriching afternoon of holistic wellness.
What you can expect for the afternoon experience will include and is not limited to the following:
- Live Sound Bath x Bri Alexander
- Beginners Flow Yoga x Dee Setterfield
- Guided Meditations
- Relaxing Music
- Organic Cafe open with refreshments
- Raffle
If you do not own a yoga mat, they’ve got you covered. Yoga Mats are provided. Although, if you are opportune to bring yours, come with it. It will provide additional support.
Also, come prepared in your most comfortable attire. Be as comfortable and confidently dressed because there will be physical activity involved.
They also suggest you come with the following:
- eye cover
- pillows/cushions
- small blanket/ extra layer for warmth
The organizers will provide free on-site parking for this event. They are looking forward to sharing with the community.
