The most anticipated events of the month is taking place this weekend on Saturday, September 17th.2022. The H Street Festival, which is a one-day event packed will cover 11 blocks with 14 staging areas, and airing programs to a diverse audiences. The staging areas, 200 businesses, restaurants, community organizations and vendors are what you stand to enjoy from the events.

Each of the staging areas will feature events like music of different genres, dance, youth-based performances, interactive children’s programs, fashion, heritage arts, poetry and a lot more. It is a whole day of great food, drinks, music, contests, and kids’ activities.

For over 12 years, the H street festival has been thriving. The festival started as a 500-participant bloc party. Over time, the change has been immense, impactful, and lasting. Art is known to be impactful and it is no surprise that it has played a considerable influence on the community and its economic growth. H Street is one of the top influences in the commercial sector. Analysis has shown that it has played a major factor in reducing the commercial building vacancy rate on H Street Corridor from 75% to under 5%. This impactful festival has harnessed art as a tool to influence history.
